Returns & Refunds Policy

Overview

At Designer Plates, all of our products are custom-made to order. Please read the following policy carefully before placing your order.

Custom Products (Registration Plates)

Due to the personalised nature of our products:

  • All custom orders are non-refundable and non-returnable
  • This includes any plates made with a registration number or customised details

Customer Responsibility

Customers are fully responsible for ensuring that all information provided at checkout is accurate.

  • Please double-check your registration number and details before placing your order
  • Designer Plates is not responsible for errors submitted by the customer

If you notice a mistake after placing your order:

  • Please contact us immediately
  • We will do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee changes once production has begun

Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled within 1 hour of placing the order
  • After this period, we cannot guarantee a refund, as production may have already started

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect:

  • Please contact us within 5 days of delivery
  • Include:
    • Your order number
    • Clear photos of the issue

Once reviewed:

  • We will arrange a replacement free of charge where appropriate

Refunds are not issued,  replacements only

Returns Process

In most cases, we do not require items to be returned immediately.

  • Customers should first contact us with images of the issue
  • We will assess the situation and advise on next steps

Non-Custom Products

For any non-customised items:

  • You are entitled to a refund within 14 days of purchase, in line with consumer rights
  • Items must be:
    • Unused
    • In original condition

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty.

Lost Orders

If your order is lost during delivery:

  • We will open an investigation with the courier
  • Once confirmed lost, we will issue a replacement

Important Notes

  • We do not offer refunds on custom products under any circumstances other than faults
  • We are not responsible for customer input errors
  • All claims must be made within the stated timeframe

How to Fit Your Plates/Holder

Using Screws & Caps

  • Align the plate with your existing holes
  • Secure using the provided screws
  • Attach the caps for a clean finish
  • Do not overtighten

Using Double-Sided Tape

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt or grease
  • Apply the adhesive strips evenly to the back of the plate
  • Position carefully before pressing
  • Press firmly for at least 15 seconds to allow the adhesive to bond properly
